In the early stages of the business initiative, Russian Helicopters ordered a smaller hangar (800 sqm, 17m × 7m gate) for maintenance of the Mi-8 and Mi-17 helicopters.
After successful implementation, Russian Helicopters acquired a larger hangar (1250 sqm, gate 17m × 7m) for servicing Ka-52 helicopters.
In both hangars, two-axle bridge cranes with a lifting capacity of 2 tons were installed on inflatable frames. There are no supporting columns inside the structure.
The scope of delivery included an energy-efficient lighting solution, gate automation, an autonomous backup power system and a telematics system.
The integration of a biaxial overhead crane is a unique engineering solution that once again proves how rigid the Angarstroy inflatable frame structures are.
