Indonesian Air Force

Project Overview

In order for the Indonesian Air Force to repair their fighters at remote bases, Aviatech supplied four hangars with large-span gates (17 x 7 meters) with a total area of 620 sqm each. Due to rapid weather changes and sudden strong gusts of wind in the region, the hangars were reinforced with additional load-bearing frames to protect against wind at a speed of up to 50 meters per second. Each object has an integrated automation system for energy-saving and meteorological stations, access to which is carried out remotely.

To increase safety, the hangars are equipped with the most modern LED lamps (250 LUX). An additional multipurpose diesel ground power unit (GPU, 360 kVA) can turn on the power of literally any fighter jet, in addition, it serves as the main base power source.

Each hangar’s standard package includes a backup power supply system that will keep the hangars inflated during power outages.
